How to Prepare for Your Boat Transportation

Here's a few tips on how to prepare your boat for moving day:

Exterior

  • Remove any cushions from fly-bridge furniture
  • Take down any canopies or enclosures
  • Remove any wind deflectors
  • Shrink Wrap should be removed. Your boat can be transported wrapped but Chris Porter Trucking Ltd. will not be held liable for any damage done to the boat if wind rips the wrap
  • Antennas, Flags, Horns, Electronics and any other similar items must be taken down
  • Close and Secure Hatches
  • Drain as much Fuel and Water as possible

In some cases height may be an issues for transportation and Fly Bridges and/or Radar Arches may be asked to be taken down.

Interior

  • Strap Microwave, Oven, Fridge, etc.
  • Latch all interior windows and doors
  • Any loose items need to be stored properly

Please advise when arranging shipment if you will be requiring transport of cradles or masts with boat.
